Lucenite is a common yellow resource in SAROS and is essential for unlocking most upgrades in the Armor Matrix. You’ll find it readily available on Cycles, but you’ll need a lot of it to improve your character’s stats and skills – even those that help you gather more Lucenite.
This SAROS guide is all about how to quickly and efficiently farm for Lucenite.
World Pickups
You’ll find Lucenite easily along the main paths and side routes. But there’s often much more hidden away – look up high, behind objects, and in secluded areas. If you want to find everything, be sure to thoroughly search every possible hiding spot.
Repeating the same area can also work, and sometimes it’s the only way to fully progress until you unlock the next area.
Okay, so those golden containers? They’re awesome because they can give you a ton of Lucenite! But you need Carcosan keys to open them. The problem is, those keys are kinda rare – you find them in the white containers, and they don’t show up very often. Honestly, I usually save my keys for the gates, because those are super important. Luckily, you can upgrade the Armor Matrix to start with a few keys already, which is a lifesaver! You can eventually start with up to five, which is a really nice boost.
Farming Enemies
Okay, so getting Lucenite from defeated enemies is pretty common, but it vanishes fast. I’ve learned I need to position myself so I can quickly grab those drops as soon as they appear, without getting hit by other enemies or running into any trouble. It’s all about quick reflexes and smart positioning!
Aether Orb Conversion
Aether usually repairs your armor, but if your armor is already at full health, it will instead provide a helpful damage reduction bonus.
Drive Attribute
The Drive Attribute helps you level up your skills more quickly by boosting Lucenite gain. While lasting improvements come from the Armor Matrix, you can also get a temporary boost during each run of a Cycle.
Cycle Artefacts
When you open Containers, you might find useful items called Artefacts. While prioritizing Halcyon is usually best, Artefacts that help you earn more Lucenite are a great second choice. These items can improve your gathering in two ways: by increasing your Drive attribute, or by directly boosting the amount of Lucenite you receive.
Remember, these items are only available for a limited time during this Cycle, so be sure to use them while you have the chance.
Tangential Lucenite Upgrades
As a big fan, I’ve figured out these Armor Matrix upgrades are all about getting the most out of your Lucenite! Basically, you spend some now to get even more Lucenite later through better collection bonuses. Seriously, do these upgrades as soon as you can – especially the ones that make enemies drop more stuff and keep those drops around longer. It makes a huge difference!
This is particularly important because dropped Lucenite disappears rapidly, forcing players to choose between risking damage from lingering enemies and quickly collecting it before it vanishes.
If you often struggle to survive Cycles, consider upgrading your Armor Matrix with Lucenite Saver. While it initially reduces your Lucenite by 50% when you die, preserving any extra Lucenite will be helpful over time.
Those are all the ways to farm for and save Lucenite in SAROS.
