Saros PS5 Making Of Video Reveals the Relatable Reason Behind Arjun’s Rage

Sony and Housemarque have released the first part of a documentary showing how they created Saros, the new exclusive game for PlayStation 5.

This video features Rahul Kohli, the lead actor, discussing his work and how he developed the character of Arjun Devraj. You can watch it below.

What’s particularly noteworthy is a story about how Kohli really got to know Arjun’s personality and what makes him, him.

I was rushing to catch a flight and wouldn’t be available to work with Housemarque for six months. They urgently needed the trailer, so I had to record my lines really early in the morning on the other side of Los Angeles, and I got stuck in terrible traffic.

Honestly, I was really surprised by how intense his voice was in that teaser! He said he was just so frustrated and angry with everything that was going on, it came out way more raw and powerful than anything we’d heard from him before. It really reflected how he was feeling at the time.

Kohli explained that he and director Gregory Louden realized at the same moment, ‘There he is – he’s the person we’ve been searching for!’

Apparently, Arjun’s intense performance stemmed from the frustration of a difficult commute. Many of us can relate – it seems he found a healthy outlet for those feelings by focusing them into his work on Saros.

This video is well-made and shows a lot of the original performance capture footage. It’s always interesting to see how games like Saros – especially big, complex ones – are made.
