It’s all go at Bloober Team right now.
The game studio, famous for its remake of Silent Hill 2 and focused on horror games, is growing its leadership team, according to GamesIndustry.biz.
The primary driver behind this growth appears to be Bloober Team’s ambition to become a studio that consistently produces multiple games. They currently have seven games in the works at different stages of completion, including the previously revealed remake of the first Silent Hill game.
Thaine Lyman is the new head of studio. Katya Baukova will lead business development, and Michał Gembicki is now head of publishing. Piotr Babieno will continue as CEO.
We aim to release between two and three games each year. Releasing only one is too risky, while attempting more would stretch our resources and compromise the quality of our games. Two core titles allow us to be ambitious while still maintaining focus and creative control.
Bloober Team is developing seven games, with two main teams focusing on large-scale, story-driven horror games. These games will emphasize strong gameplay, high production quality, and emotionally impactful themes.
Other projects are developed under the name Broken Mirror Games. One of these is Layers of Fear 3, which was just revealed.
We don’t focus on simply increasing the quantity of our releases,” explains Babieno. “We think players value quality over quantity – they’re looking for memorable, unique experiences that will stay with them long after they’ve played them.
It seems Bloober Team is growing and working on several new games, which is great news for horror fans – they’ll have plenty to play for a long time!
