The trailer for Netflix’s new version of Pride and Prejudice is now available online. It previously played before showings of the movie Wuthering Heights in theaters.
The trailer is intentionally vague, offering only brief looks at the two main characters: Elizabeth Bennet, played by Emma Corrin, and Mr. Darcy, played by Jack Lowden.
We first got a glimpse of Corrin as part of the Bennet family last summer, but this is the first time we’re seeing Lowden, known for his role in ‘Slow Horses,’ as Darcy in this adaptation.
You can watch the teaser right here now.

Dolly Alderton has reimagined Jane Austen’s beloved story for a new adaptation, featuring a talented cast including Olivia Colman, Freya Mavor, Hopey Parish, Rhea Norwood, Hollie Avery, Rufus Sewell, Louis Partridge, Jamie Demetriou, Fiona Shaw, and Daryl McCormack.
I’m really excited to see Siena Kelly, Anjana Vasan, Sebastian Armesto, Rosie Cavaliero, Saffron Coomber, James Dryden, Justin Edwards, James Northcote, Eloise Webb, and Isabella Sermon all in this – what a fantastic cast! I think they’ll all bring something special to their roles.
The six-episode series, directed by Euros Lyn (known for Heartstopper), is being called a true and classic adaptation of the original novel. Author Sally Alderton has expressed her excitement, saying it’s a rare opportunity to revisit such a beloved story, and she feels fortunate to be involved.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is the original romantic comedy, and revisiting it has been a delight. It’s wonderful to discover both classic elements and new perspectives within its pages as we bring this cherished story to life.
I’m thrilled that Euros Lyn is directing such a talented cast! We’re bringing these funny and complex characters back to both longtime fans of Pride and Prejudice and to anyone who’s yet to fall in love with Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.
Another version of Pride and Prejudice was recently released, following an audiobook from Audible in September 2025 featuring Marisa Abela and Harris Dickinson.
