SNL Writer Jimmy Fowlie Gives Heartbreaking Update on Missing Sister

Jimmy Fowlie has a devastating update about his family.

Four months after a writer for Saturday Night Live asked for help finding his sister, Christina Fowlie, he announced that the Los Angeles Police Department now believes her case is a homicide investigation, rather than a missing person case.

Jimmy announced on Instagram on April 29th that the LAPD had confirmed his sister, Christina, had passed away. He shared that their hopes for her safe return had shifted to seeking justice and answers about what happened.

The man, age 40, stated that his family suspected her phone and social media accounts had been hacked in the weeks before she disappeared in December. He explained that whoever had access to her phone seemingly used it to cover up her absence, request money from others, and make it look like she intentionally went into hiding.

Jimmy explained he was sharing this information because he thought someone was trying to completely remove her memory. He wanted to make sure her story was heard and to emphasize that she was a wonderful person who was important, particularly to him.

As a devoted follower, it really touched me when the comedian expressed hope that anyone with information would come forward. He made it clear he’s going to keep fighting for his sister, and he’s asking all of us to help by sharing her story and talking about it. It means so much to him – and to all of us who support them – that her case doesn’t get forgotten.

The author of The Other Two said he’s taking a break from social media because he’s been feeling overwhelmed. He requested that anyone with information about something contact the LAPD directly.

TopMob News has reached out to the LAPD for comment but has not heard back.

As a longtime follower, I remember when Jimmy first brought up Christina’s disappearance back in December. He said the last time anyone actually heard from her was a phone call on October 5th, though she did post something on social media a little later, on December 15th. It’s just been so unsettling trying to piece together those last known moments.

The comedian had been consistently posting about the missing person, putting up flyers in Koreatown, Los Angeles, and sharing her thoughts online – she wrote on Instagram on April 24th that she was thinking about them every day.
