Towards the end of summer, some quietly excellent movies often appear, and the trailer for One Night Only hints that this film might be one of them.
Owen, recently heartbroken, and Allie, a true romantic, seem to be the only two people in town hoping for something real. They feel an instant connection, but a night of mishaps and distractions keeps them from finding each other. As they navigate the city, constantly moving closer and then further apart, they might realize that what they’re looking for isn’t as far away as they thought.
The movie features Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, with Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, King Princess, Ziwe, Ben Marshall, and Levar Burton also appearing. It even includes a special appearance by 80s icon Molly Ringwald, known for her roles in classic John Hughes films. Will Gluck, who directed films like ‘Anyone But You’ and ‘Easy A’, is the director, making it a must-see for fans of his work.
