The first season of Solo Leveling was a big hit, and the second season made it even more popular, breaking several records in the process. Even though it’s been over a year since the second season ended, the anime remains incredibly popular – it recently became the highest-rated show on Crunchyroll, with over a million reviews! This shows fans are excited for Season 3. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any news about the anime’s return yet, though the Solo Leveling franchise hasn’t disappeared completely.
Although Netflix hasn’t announced a third season yet, a live-action version of the series is in the works. Updates have been coming out steadily, and the announcement of the main cast has created a lot of buzz. Well-known Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok will play Sung Jinwoo, which has fans even more excited. People are looking forward to both this live-action adaptation and the next season of the anime. Recently, Byeon Woo-seok attended a Comic Con in Hong Kong and shared that filming the action scenes is proving to be the biggest hurdle in bringing the project to life.
Netflix’s Solo Leveling Live-Action Is Facing Challenges During Filming
During a recent Comic Con in Hong Kong, actor Byeon Woo-seok took questions about his role in Solo Leveling, and he happily shared details about filming. One fan posted a clip online showing Woo-seok explaining that the action scenes were particularly challenging. He said it was hard to show genuine emotion while performing them, as action sequences depend so much on physical expression and make it difficult to appear natural. Despite the difficulty, he also found the challenge enjoyable and stimulating.
Woo-seok seems to be struggling a bit with the physically demanding nature of his role, probably because he doesn’t have much experience with action. However, his excitement about the project suggests he’ll improve, especially since he’s a fan of the original story and wants to create a good adaptation for viewers. While this is a small issue, the live-action version of Solo Leveling will likely have other difficulties, mainly in adapting the story and capturing its epic scope. But the biggest challenge will probably be creating the visual effects.
The upcoming live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling will need a lot of special effects to bring its action-packed world and magical powers to life. Because many live-action adaptations of animated series suffer from inconsistent visuals, fans are understandably worried about the quality of this project. However, Netflix has been improving its live-action productions lately, and given Solo Leveling‘s massive popularity as an anime, the company is likely being very careful with this adaptation. Whether they can successfully pull it off remains to be seen, and it’s unclear if the current challenges will be small bumps in the road or significant problems for the series.
