A sneak peek at the South Park Season 28 finale reveals it’s the show’s first Christmas special in six years. South Park returned to Comedy Central this summer for Season 27 after a dispute with Paramount over streaming and older episodes. Fans have already enjoyed nine new episodes, and the show released two seasons this fall. Now, viewers are preparing for the final episode of the year, bringing the current story arc to a close.
The 28th and final season of South Park will conclude on Wednesday, December 10th, with its last episode airing on Comedy Central. A new trailer and sneak peek have just been released, hinting that the season-long storyline involving Satan and the Anti-Christ will come to a head. The episode also promises some holiday-themed moments. You can watch the trailer below.
What to Know for South Park Season 28 Finale
The fifth episode of South Park Season 28 will be the last new episode of the year, airing on Comedy Central Wednesday, December 10th at 10 PM Eastern and Pacific time. It will then be available to stream on Paramount+ the following day. The episode, titled “The Crap Out,” hints at a dramatic finale involving Satan, Stan, and the Antichrist, suggesting that many storylines will come together as the season ends.
I’ve been watching the latest season of South Park, and even though it was split into two parts for production, it all felt like one continuous story. They’ve really brought Donald Trump into the mix, and it looks like he’s forming a relationship with Satan – a storyline that’s heading towards the birth of the Antichrist. And, classic South Park, they’re planning for it to happen at Christmas! It’s a darkly funny idea they really deliver on. But there’s clearly a lot more going on under the surface, and I’m curious to see where it all leads.
How Is South Park Going to End?

After a controversial start to the new season, the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, weren’t sure how to move forward. However, the show has found its footing. A new release schedule, giving the team more time per episode instead of rushing them out weekly, allowed South Park seasons 27 and 28 to plan a satisfying conclusion to the series.
Beyond the main storyline, several other plots are unfolding. Stan’s family is having a hard time adjusting after leaving Tegridy Farms, there’s a mystery around Cartman and a possible connection to the Antichrist due to his infection, and Butters seems to be going through a significant change. There’s a lot happening, and this finale promises to be one that South Park fans won’t want to miss.
