The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day quickly became a huge hit with fans, racking up views at a rate that surprised even industry experts. It reached a milestone for movie trailers in just a few days that was previously thought unattainable.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer makes history, crosses 1 billion views
The trailer for the new Spider-Man movie, “Brand New Day,” is breaking records. Released on March 18th, the preview featuring Tom Holland as Peter Parker quickly gained popularity, reaching over 1.1 billion views worldwide in just four days. According to WaveMetrix data reported by Variety, this is the biggest trailer launch ever.
The trailer’s numbers are incredible, even compared to today’s biggest hits. It racked up 718.6 million views in just one day, making it the biggest trailer launch of all time – beating records for both movies and video games.
As a huge movie fan, I was blown away by the numbers! Before this, the record for the most views on a trailer in 24 hours was held by the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, which got 365 million views after dropping during the Super Bowl. But the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer absolutely crushed that, nearly doubling it! It even beat out the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer’s record of 475 million views. That’s a seriously impressive feat!
The new trailer quickly became a massive hit, racking up 373 million views around the world in just eight hours – enough to break the previous record. But this isn’t the first time Sony has achieved this kind of success. Their trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home previously held the record with 355.5 million views in its first day.
I’m really excited for Brand New Day! It looks like Tom Holland is back as Spider-Man, but this time, nobody remembers he’s Peter Parker, which is a really cool twist. It’s coming out July 31st, and the cast is amazing – Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and a bunch of other great actors are all in it!
