Okay, so I’m seriously hyped for Spider-Man: Brand New Day! It’s only two months away, and it’s been five years since we’ve seen Tom Holland swing around as Spider-Man. But this isn’t just another sequel – it feels like they’re really taking the character in a fresh direction. From what I’ve heard, this movie is going to have more villains than any other Marvel film, which is already exciting. But the best part? It sounds like Spider-Man will finally get to team up with some other MCU heroes he’s never interacted with before. I can’t wait to see how that plays out!
Spider-Man’s upcoming appearance in Brand New Day will include team-ups with some iconic heroes. Fans can expect to see Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, bringing a dynamic from the comics to the screen for the first time in a film. Mark Ruffalo will also reprise his role as Bruce Banner, transforming into The Hulk. Recent marketing materials reveal The Hulk will be referred to as “Savage Hulk” in the movie, and hints suggest a possible strategy for Spider-Man to defeat him.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day May Reveal New Way to Defeat the Hulk
A new Spider-Man toy, based on the upcoming “Brand New Day” storyline, shows him using green webs. The packaging highlights that the toy says over 40 different phrases, including “Anti-Gamma Webs Coming Your Way.” This suggests that in the “Brand New Day” story, Spider-Man will need to develop new web technology to be effective against The Hulk in a fight.
As a long-time comic fan, I’ve seen Spider-Man and the Hulk clash a few times, and it’s always a tricky matchup. The Hulk gets stronger the angrier he gets, so a straight-up brawl usually isn’t going to work for Spidey. While Spider-Man is strong, he’s nowhere near the Hulk’s level. That means he always has to rely on his quick thinking, speed, and agility to win – and sometimes, he needs to whip up some new gadgets to even have a chance!
It’s important to remember that toys based on upcoming comic book movies aren’t always accurate to what happens in the final film. Sometimes they reflect early ideas or scripts that changed during production. For example, fans might remember toys for Avengers: Infinity War that showed the Hulk bursting out of the Hulkbuster armor – a scene that didn’t actually happen in the movie. And there are plenty of other funny toy tie-ins, like the Superman-on-a-motorcycle toys for Man of Steel.
This might be a significant hint about the plot of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, or it could simply be a smart marketing tactic to make a new Spider-Man toy more attractive to kids. We’ll find out for sure when Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31st.
