Stanley Tucci Defends 21-Year Age Gap With Wife Felicity Blunt

Stanley Tucci knows love doesn’t follow a rulebook. 

Stanley Tucci, known for his role in The Devil Wears Prada 2, shared the secret to his successful marriage with Felicity Blunt. Despite a significant age gap, their relationship thrives, and it was actually Felicity’s sister, Emily Blunt—Tucci’s coworker—who initially helped bring them together.

He mentioned his literary agent is very optimistic, a quality he wishes he had more of himself.

Stanley, who married Felicity in 2012 and has two children – 11-year-old Mateo and 8-year-old Emilia – is constantly amazed by her intelligence. He describes her ability to absorb information from all sources – not just books – and then creatively transform it as truly exceptional. He simply thinks she’s fantastic.

Stanley admitted he initially struggled with the age difference when he started dating her. In a 2023 interview with BBC Radio, he explained he repeatedly tried to end the relationship, worried about feeling old. However, he also recognized that she was a truly remarkable person.

However, Stanley also recognized that Felicity “was an incredibly special person.”

He explained that Felicity has been amazing, stepping in to care for a man and his three children after their mother passed away. He emphasized that she took on this huge responsibility at a young age and truly made things better for everyone. He believes she’s the reason they’re all doing okay.
