With the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 looming, many game developers are rushing to get their games out first. It appears Fuse Games and Secret Mode may have accidentally revealed the release date for Star Wars: Galactic Racer a bit too early. Wario64 spotted a Steam listing indicating the game will launch on October 6th.
That alone wouldn’t be a problem, but details about the Deluxe Edition were also released by mistake. It will include pre-order bonuses, three special vehicles, unique player customizations for each platform, and three new challenges. The developer has confirmed it won’t include a Season Pass. For the physical version, there will also be a Steelbook case and sleeve.
The publisher quickly took down these details from Steam, but the information is still out there. Many people are expecting an announcement at Summer Game Fest in June, but it might come sooner – possibly on Star Wars Day, May 4th. We could finally learn more about Star Wars Zero Company and see the reveal of the third Star Wars Jedi game, which fans have been waiting for.
Don’t get your hopes up too much for Star Wars Eclipse. Recent reports suggest it’s still a long way from being finished – possibly years – and there’s even a chance its funding could be cut.
