Summer Game Fest is known for revealing new games and trailers, and it often features appearances by The Muppets. Right after the main show, from June 6th to 8th, comes Play Days. This event gives journalists and content creators a chance to try out upcoming games and play demos.
Xbox is showcasing a variety of games, including charming titles like Aniimo, Grave Seasons, and Don’t Fret, alongside atmospheric adventures such as Erosion and Way to the Woods, and the quirky My Arms Are Longer Now. Players can also look forward to action-packed games like Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat and the challenging Valor Mortis.
This news offers a glimmer of hope that playable demos for both games might be released to everyone eventually. However, it’s more probable that these smaller indie games will get demos out first, possibly during an upcoming Steam Next Fest – though anything is possible!
Surprisingly, there’s also a playable demo of Grounded 2 where up to four players can fight the newest boss, King Dozer, from the “Beat the Heat” update. It’s a bit unusual to feature this demo at Play Days, especially considering how different it is from the other games on display—and the fact that it’s already out!
I’m really hoping this means something big is coming for the game! It feels like there might be a larger announcement related to it soon. I’m definitely planning to watch the Summer Game Fest showcase on June 5th – that’s where we might find out more!
