Stardew Valley’s Biggest Competition Just Finally Confirmed Its 1.0 Release Date

For years, whenever anyone talked about farming sims, Stardew Valley was always the first game that came to mind. But honestly, since Fields of Mistria hit early access in late 2024, it’s been a serious contender! I don’t think cozy game fans like me are going to ditch Stardew completely, but Fields of Mistria is just so charming – it’s already won over a lot of us in early access. And now, the developers at NPC Studio have finally announced the official release date, which is awesome!

NPC Studio announced during the June 6th Wholesome Direct stream that Fields of Mistria will officially launch on August 5th, 2026. This is almost two years after the game first entered Early Access, and it’s received positive feedback during that time. The full release will bring exciting additions like marriage, children, and new characters to the game.

Fields of Mistria Sets 1.0 Release Date for Fall 2026

Fall 2026 is shaping up to be a busy season for gamers, with many releases planned before the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 in November. Adding to the excitement, the farming simulation game Fields of Mistria will officially launch on PC and Steam Deck on August 5th. The developers, NPC Studio, are focusing on perfecting the PC version first, so a console release isn’t available yet. However, this launch is a positive sign that Fields of Mistria could eventually come to the Nintendo Switch.

Even though it’s still technically in development, Fields of Mistria has become very popular, earning extremely positive reviews from players. The game’s major 1.0 update arrives on August 5th, adding several highly anticipated features to this magical farming simulation.
