For the next 24 hours, a role-playing game (RPG) is available to download for free on Steam. This offer is great for both PC and Steam Deck players! Valve has officially tested the game on the Steam Deck and confirmed it runs smoothly from beginning to end, with adjustments made for the handheld’s screen and controls.

PC gamers can get the RPG Tower of Time for free for just over 24 hours after it’s released. The offer isn’t on Steam directly, but through a site called Fanatical. To claim the free game, you’ll need to create a free Fanatical account and connect it to your Steam account. You don’t need to sign up for any newsletters to get this deal. Keep in mind that the offer is only available for a limited time and while supplies last – it’s possible they’ll run out before the 24 hours are up.

RPG Dungeon Crawler With Real-Time Combat

Event Horizon released their first game, Tower of Time, in 2018, and followed it up with Dark Envoy in 2023. Based on reviews and ratings, it seems their debut title was more successful. Tower of Time currently has 1,364 user reviews on Steam, with 83% of players recommending it – earning it a “Very Positive” rating, which is the second-highest possible. The game also has a respectable score of 77 on Metacritic. It normally sells for $25.

If you download this free game on Steam, be prepared to spend a significant amount of time with it. Completing the main story will take at least 30-35 hours, and exploring everything the game has to offer could easily take 40 hours. For players who like to complete everything, Tower of Time offers a whopping 55-60 hours of gameplay. This is the first time in its eight-year history that the RPG has been available for free.
