Stephen Curry Calls Out Killer Mike’s Comments About Wife Ayesha Curry

Stephen Curryis giving Killer Mike a technical foul.

An NBA player recently criticized the rapper known as “Scientists & Engineers” after he made a negative remark about the player’s wife, Ayesha Curry.

On September 5th, a post by rapper Bookie Woodz caused a stir online. He shared a video on Instagram claiming Ayesha, 36, was having a hard time staying faithful to her husband. He also drew a comparison between her and rapper GloRilla, suggesting she focus on making music instead of potentially damaging the reputation of her husband, a Golden State Warriors player.

Even though not everyone agreed with what he said, Killer Mike (whose real name is Michael Render) expressed similar thoughts in the comments.

In a now-deleted comment, the 50-year-old used a racial slur and wrote that someone expressed a desire to become famous. They then added that Stephen Curry doesn’t deserve the resulting public humiliation, and ended with a blessing for him, according to Us Weekly.

Stephen, 37, who shares four children – Riley, 13, Ryan, 10, Canon, 7, and Caius, 16 months – with Ayesha Curry, wasn’t pleased with the rapper’s public support.

Okay, so this whole situation with Mike is…a lot. Someone commented on his post, and honestly, the reply was pretty shady. It basically said, ‘Don’t even bother, Mike, I’m above this.’ They seemed happy to let others have their moment in the spotlight, and told Mike he was better than to get involved. The commenter then ended with a bit of a humblebrag, saying they’re doing great and letting God continue to bless them. It’s a classic case of someone trying to appear gracious while subtly throwing shade – and honestly, it’s a vibe I see *way* too often in the public eye. It’s always best to take the high road, but this felt a little…extra.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Killer Mike and Stephen but has not heard back.

Stephen and Ayesha often talk about how they’ve positively impacted each other’s lives. Ayesha recently shared that she hadn’t been thinking about marriage or a long-term relationship until she met Stephen.

She explained on the August 20th episode of Alex Cooper’s *Call Her Daddy* podcast that she always envisioned a career-focused life. She hadn’t dreamed of getting married, and when it happened, it was much sooner than she expected.

Stephen and Ayesha met as teenagers and began growing their family after Stephen was drafted into the NBA in 2009. They married two years later. While Ayesha loves their family, she’s said that focusing on parenthood made it hard for her to pursue her own goals.

But with the support of her family, she started to focus on her business aspirations.

She recalled realizing she needed to prioritize her own goals. “I enjoyed being a mom, but I also wanted to pursue other interests,” she explained. “I needed to get organized and figure out what that balance looked like for me.”

Okay, so you’ve probably heard about the recent back-and-forth between Killer Mike and Stephen – it’s definitely making headlines! But honestly, celebrity disagreements happen all the time. I’ve seen a lot of these over the years, and it’s rarely just one instance. I’m sharing some of the most notable celebrity feuds right now, so let’s dive in and see who else is having a moment…

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving *Queer Eye* after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)

He assured *Vanity Fair* that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it’s separate from their work on the show and wasn’t related to romance. He emphasized it was a private matter that had been building up between them.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he had tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show *Queer Eye*.

Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately got it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by sabotaging anyone else, as he explained in an Instagram post.

I’ve been following the drama around *Charmed* for years, and it’s been heartbreaking to hear about the issues between the actresses. Recently, on her podcast *Let’s Be Clear*, Holly Marie Combs shared something really shocking. She claimed that Alyssa Milano apparently gave a show producer an ultimatum – either her or Shannen Doherty. Sadly, this reportedly led to Shannen leaving the show back in 2001, and it’s just been so sad to hear all the details come out now.

In February 2024, Alyssa posted on Instagram stating she couldn’t get anyone fired and that any current accounts of what happened were simply inaccurate retellings of events from a long time ago.

At a MegaCon Orlando panel, Shannen stated that, to her knowledge, the true story of what happened hasn’t been altered or rewritten.

Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered former *That ’70s Show* star Danny Masterson to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a “rude, rude, rude, rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on *The Talk* because she had misspoken his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She finished by saying, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to, young man.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris clashed with Brittany Aldean, the wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, posted on August 23rd, Brittany thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition genders during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she now enjoys a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d ever met, saying Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Shortly after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and acknowledging that she should have taken the picture. She expressed sincere regret for the incident.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without giving credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome! My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on *Watch What Happens Live*, the *Happy Days* actor explained why he and the *Forrest Gump* star didn’t get along while filming the 1989 movie *Turner & Hooch*.

I directed the film for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, told me to go home – that I had everything I needed, he said.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Anyone who watched *The Hills* likely remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for *Fast & Furious 9* was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave *Fast 9* if Dwayne Johnson remained involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, telling Van Lathan on *The Red Pill* podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though they plan to talk. He did, however, speak with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations that were voiced by multiple people connected to the franchise. He explained that he was the one who spoke out, and he takes responsibility for that, saying it wasn’t professional or appropriate.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and rivalry during concert tours, was resolved when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s *Reputation* Tour began.

Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of *Sex and the City*, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.

In a September 2017 episode of *Watch What Happens Live*, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were just coworkers and never truly friends.

She was really upset about something, saying she was heartbroken. They had talked about it the previous week, and she felt it didn’t match her memory of what had happened. She explained that it was very disturbing to her because her recollection of events was different.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the unique experience we all shared. It started as a professional collaboration, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that the strength of those years, and the special connection we built with people through our work, will ultimately outweigh any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of something so meaningful for so long.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award at the Q Awards, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously said he didn’t believe lip-syncing should be considered a live act and even suggested performers who lip-sync should face serious consequences, given the cost of concert tickets.

The actress, formerly known for her role on *Grey’s Anatomy*, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to be removed from Emmy Award consideration. She explained that she didn’t believe her storylines that season were strong enough to deserve a nomination.

Oh my gosh, I was SO fascinated to hear Shonda talk about Katherine leaving! She actually discussed it with Oprah Winfrey – can you believe it?! It was on *Oprah’s Next Chapter* back in 2012, and Shonda said it honestly *hurt*, but she wasn’t totally shocked. She explained that she really believes in taking people at face value – like, if they show you who they are, you need to *believe* them. She said she lives by that now, and it’s really helped her. I just… I love how honest she is!

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi explained what started the argument with Nicki.

Cardi B recently told *W* magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.

The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.

I was set to earn a lot of money from my tour with Bruno Mars, but I chose to be with my daughter instead. I love her, and I’m a really good mom. It’s frustrating when people without children criticize my choices. Everyone says the party wasn’t the right time or place to see another artist, but I don’t expect to run into someone famous just anywhere.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included lyrics referencing Taylor.

Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following celebrity dynamics for years, and the story of Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez is a classic! It all kicked off over 15 years ago during an interview with Mariah. She was asked about a bunch of singers, and when Jennifer Lopez’s name came up, Mariah famously said she didn’t know her. It was a simple comment, but it sparked what the media quickly labeled a ‘feud,’ and honestly, it’s been talked about ever since!
