Following the trailer shown during the Super Bowl, director has discussed what viewers can anticipate in the new film. Disclosure Day marks the director’s return to science fiction after a long hiatus.
Universal Pictures has released a new behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming film, Disclosure Day. In the video, director Steven Spielberg explains his long-held interest in the unexplained, saying he’s been making movies about mysterious phenomena—like sharks and UFOs—since early in his career with films such as Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Spielberg noted that public interest in unexplained aerial phenomena and the possibility of life beyond Earth has reached a peak. People are increasingly asking whether we are alone in the universe, and if not, why this information hasn’t been shared.
Disclosure Day arrives in theaters on June 12.
