The first trailer for the upcoming ‘Street Fighter’ movie is out, and it gives fans a look at the cast, including Jason Momoa (known from ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Dune’) playing the character Blanka.
The film’s cast features Noah Centineo, known from ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ and ‘The Recruit,’ along with actor and martial artist Andrew Koji, and rapper 50 Cent, all of whom appear in the recently released teaser.
The trailer opens with a voice announcing exciting news: the world’s greatest fighters have assembled, but only one will ultimately become the street fighting champion.
The trailer is packed with fast-paced action, vibrant neon visuals, and nods to the early 1990s. Director Kitao Sakurai clearly aimed for a distinctive, visually striking style that matches the look and feel of the original games.
In 1993, rivals Ryu and Ken are pulled back into the world of fighting when Chun-Li asks for their help in the upcoming World Warrior Tournament – a fierce competition where skill, destiny, and rage collide.
Beneath the surface of this intense competition, a dangerous plot is unfolding, forcing the players to confront both each other and their own troubled histories. If they fail, the stakes are ultimate – it’s all over.

Paramount announced that the movie will recreate the excitement of the classic arcade game, complete with iconic moves like Hadoukens and roundhouse kicks, and all the characters fans love.
I’m so excited about the cast for this movie! It’s incredible – we’re going to see WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes playing Akuma and Guile, which is awesome. And it doesn’t stop there! David Dastmalchian from One Piece is going to be M Bison, and the hilarious Andrew Schulz is taking on Dan Hibiki. They’ve also cast Vidyut Jammwal, a fantastic Indian actor and martial artist, as Dhalsim, and the unique Orville Peck as Vega. The lineup is just perfect!
Eric Andre, a comedian known for working with the director on the 2021 film Bad Trip, will be the ring announcer, playing the character Don Sauvage. The cast also includes martial artists Rayna Vallandingham and Alexander Volkanovski, bodybuilder Olivier Richters, and wrestler Hirooki Goto.
Street Fighter will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 16 October 2026.
