Subnautica 2 Guide – How To Get The Heat Tolerance Adaptation

In Subnautica 2, the Heat Tolerance Adaptation lets you explore a new area about 250 meters from your Lifepod. Getting this adaptation takes some effort, as it’s a key step in advancing the game.

This Subnautica 2 guide has every major step towards getting the Heat Tolerance Adaptation.

Processor Blueprint

After you get the Habitat Blueprint, swim north about 400 meters to the Old Habitat. Go down to a depth of 55 meters to find an entrance—an airlock—that leads to the Processor.

Sonic Resonator Blueprint

You can find both pieces of the Sonic Resonator in this area. One is on a side table close to an airlock, and the other is in the next room, on the floor.

Silver Ore

You’ll need this important item for what you’re doing, and you can find it in a large cave close to the Old Habitat.

Construct Processor

Okay, so I managed to snag 2 Titanium, a Mild Acid, and a Copper Wire. Now I can finally build a Processor in my Habitat! Once it’s up and running, I need to set it to turn that Titanium into Ingots. That’s going to be super useful!

Craft Sonic Resonator

The Titanium Ingots will allow you to finally craft a Sonic Resonator at the Fabricator.

Heat Tolerance Adaptation

Head southwest for about 200 meters towards the Blackbox – Wander signal. You’ll find a tunnel that goes straight down about 35 meters. Use your Sonic Resonator to clear the strange, plant-like growth blocking your way. Keep clearing it until the infection is completely gone.

You’ll unlock the Heat Tolerance Adaptation by fully cleansing the Angel Comb of its corruption and then taking a sample from its core.

That is everything there is to know about unlocking the Heat Tolerance Adaptation in Subnautica 2.
