Summer House Reunion: Ciara Predicts Amanda, West Romance Timeline

Part one of the Summer House reunion was already no holds barred.

Right off the bat, Ciara Miller was ready to confront Amanda Batula and West Wilson over their romance.

Throughout the episode, there was a lot of back-and-forth arguing, including the new couple explaining the details of how their relationship started. One particularly sharp comment came from Ciara, who explained why she believes her ex and her former best friend might have a lasting relationship.

The conversation started after Lindsay Hubbard commented on Austen West’s dating patterns. She told him that he tends to end relationships with women who aren’t beneficial to him, and predicted he would do the same thing to Amanda when their relationship inevitably faced challenges, saying, “It’s not going to work out.”

Ciara, however, begged to differ.

The model speculated that Kanye West and Amanda might end up together, believing he thrives with a partner who doesn’t challenge him. She described Amanda as quiet and submissive, suggesting she’d allow Kanye to remain the dominant figure in the relationship.

“So,” Ciara continued, “I actually think maybe it could work.”

The comment from the 30-year-old upset Amanda, who looked away and wiped away tears. It also prompted a response from Amanda’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, who hadn’t previously engaged with Amanda or the other person involved in the situation, aside from asking for more details.

“That was a bit strong,” he murmured to Ciara, sitting beside him. She replied, “That’s your wife, not mine.”

Kyle responded, “I’m just saying, you’re totally entitled to your feelings, but it was still difficult for me to listen to.”

During the episode, both Amanda and West confessed to initially misleading their friends about their relationship, but they both insisted that nothing happened until after Amanda and Kyle were officially separated.

They also talked about when their friendship turned romantic, explaining that it happened after a brunch with Kyle, along with their fellow cast members Jesse Solomon and Ben Waddell, at the end of February.

Okay, so we were hanging out, and I swear, I looked at Amanda and just had to ask myself, ‘Am I losing it, or is there something between us? Like, a real connection?’ It was totally on my mind, I couldn’t help but wonder!

During the reunion, Amanda confessed that she hadn’t been truthful in earlier text messages to Ciara, which were read aloud. She had previously denied anything happening between them in the weeks following a certain event, but admitted that wasn’t entirely accurate.

Amanda explained that our relationship was always appropriate and innocent. It all began with simply talking and connecting on an emotional level.

They revealed their relationship became sexual only after they and West publicly announced it on March 31st.

West clarified that the beginning of their relationship wasn’t a scandalous affair, but simply spending time together, despite the rumors circulating online.

The upcoming reunion episodes will definitely explore the romantic connections further, but here’s a detailed look at everything that’s happened between Ciara, West, Kyle, and Amanda so far.

Ciara Miller and West Wilson found love on the set of Summer House season eight and continued their relationship off-screen in 2023.

However, their romance wouldn’t last long, with the costars breaking up at the end of that year.

Let me tell you, navigating a breakup while still sharing a summer house? Talk about complicated! I really felt for Ciara those next couple of seasons. She was clearly torn, constantly wrestling with whether to forgive him for hurting her and see if they could make things work again. It was a really tough emotional rollercoaster for her, and honestly, pretty relatable for anyone who’s been in that position.

After a rocky four-year marriage, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have decided to separate, just before the tenth season of their Bravo series is set to premiere in 2026.

The longtime co-stars announced on Instagram on January 19th that they’ve decided to separate. They shared a joint statement saying the decision was mutual and friendly, and they asked for privacy and support as they both focus on moving forward and healing.

Amanda and Kyle, who got married in September 2021, shared that while they’ve always been open about their relationship, they’re asking for privacy as they move forward. They appreciate everyone’s kindness and respect during this time.

The show gave viewers an intimate look at the couple’s struggles as their relationship fell apart.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz, and it all started when Deuxmoi first reported on March 5th that Amanda and West seemed to be getting quite close while out in New York City. The rumors about a possible romance quickly spread after that – it was all anyone was talking about!

Addressing rumors, West dismissed the speculation during a March 24th appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He explained that she was recently single and had previously dated people she’d met while socializing. He clarified they were simply spending time together in New York, saying he was just showing her around the city.

The journalist said, “She’s a close friend – someone I really care about.”

After news spread about a possible romantic connection between West and Amanda, some of their colleagues publicly shared their reactions.

On March 29th, Carl Radke posted a confused-looking photo to his Instagram Stories. Lindsay Hubbard and KJ Dillard followed suit, sharing similar expressions of confusion on their own social media accounts.

Austen Kroll, a fellow reality TV star and friend to several members of the Summer House cast, seemingly weighed in on the drama. On March 29th, he posted to his Instagram Stories, “Apparently, dating your friends’ exes and eating pasta are both trendy again.”

Amanda and West publicly confirmed the rumors in a joint statement on Instagram on March 31st.

Okay, so there’s been a lot of talk, and I wanted to clear things up about how things unfolded with my relationship. Honestly, we never meant to keep anything secret! It’s just that things were… complicated, especially with being on a reality show where everything is under a microscope. We really needed some time to figure things out privately before sharing with everyone. It’s tough navigating a new relationship when you’re also dealing with all that extra pressure, you know?

Look, I get it, okay? They just want everyone to know this whole thing has always been between them, and they never meant to upset anyone. Honestly, they’re so grateful for all the support and just want people to understand where they’re coming from. It means the world to them, seriously. I’m just so glad they finally said it!

It was such a shock when West and Amanda revealed they were together! Honestly, I immediately felt for Ciara. Pictures surfaced of her in New York looking really down, and a friend was there to support her. It was heartbreaking to see. Thankfully, she’s been getting a lot of love from her friends and even some of the other Bravo stars are weighing in – it’s definitely divided everyone with this whole situation!

Amanda’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, appeared to make light of their ongoing issues by posting a selfie with Ciara on Instagram on March 30th.

Paige DeSorbo, known from Summer House, publicly showed her support for Ciara on Instagram, simply writing, “Ur perfect.” Lindsay Hubbard and Dara Levitan, a new cast member this season, also voiced their support, with Lindsay commenting “Perfection,” and Dara saying, “And that’s how you do it.”

Two days after Amanda and West went public, Kyle slammed his former friend for moving in on his ex.

He told journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok video posted in April that he felt deeply betrayed. “He completely ended our friendship suddenly,” he said. “I just don’t understand – what happened to loyalty between friends?”

Kyle also insinuated West’s intentions were calculated.

He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. People are impressed, thinking West has really turned things around, but it’s clear he was deliberately playing to their emotions and gaining support.

Ciara’s longtime BFF Paige DeSorbo made it clear whose side she’s on amid the fallout.

Okay, seriously, Ciara is like, a real friend to us, not just someone we know from TV. We’ve been checking in on her constantly, trying to be there for her, because what happened is just awful. We’re totally Team Ciara, always have been! And honestly, the thought of ever trying to profit off of something so personal and painful for her? Ugh, never. It would be so wrong. We just want her to be okay.

Paige went on to share “the final thing” she was going to say about the situation.

Paige emphasized that Ciara is a strong, smart, and capable woman. She explained that Ciara will share her thoughts and feelings when she’s ready, and Paige wouldn’t want to speak on Ciara’s behalf.

After waiting a week to process things, Ciara finally spoke up and briefly shared how she was doing.

At the premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7th, Ciara told Entertainment Tonight she’s doing very well despite the recent, highly publicized romance between Amanda and West.

Ciara showed she wasn’t bothered by the new relationship between Amanda and West, playfully dismissing it while she hosted the red carpet event for the premiere of HBO Max’s Euphoria season three.

Ciara jokingly asked Sydney Sweeney, whose character on HBO often finds herself in complicated love lives, what she thought would happen if someone dated their friend’s ex-boyfriend. She posed the question at an event on April 7th.

Let me tell you, as someone who follows these things closely, the storyline with Cassie and Nate on ‘Euphoria’ is…rough. Sydney, the actress who plays Cassie, pretty much summed it up perfectly when she just said, ‘It’s not good.’ And honestly, she’s right! It’s a really difficult situation, especially considering her close friendship with Maddy, who previously dated Nate.

Ciara, age 30, directly told her partner what she wanted for their future, stating, “I think we should get married.”

Following a week of backlash, Amanda broke her silence to address angry fans.

In a recent Instagram post on April 10th, the 34-year-old apologized to those they had hurt or let down, particularly mentioning those they’d contacted directly.

She explained that she’s trying to get back to a more normal life for her own well-being. If people see her out or active online, she wants them to understand she’s still deeply affected by what’s happened and hasn’t forgotten it.

Plus, she promised fans will get more answers to their myriad of questions soon.

Amanda confirmed she’ll be at the reunion and promised to answer everyone’s questions openly and honestly when she’s there.

Almost three weeks after West and Amanda revealed their relationship, Ciara finally spoke directly about the controversy for the first time.

Okay, so Ciara was talking to Glamour, and honestly, it broke my heart. She said dealing with pain privately is bad enough, but when it’s splashed all over everyone’s screens? It’s a whole other level of awful. And then to have to watch everything that was supposed to be her life just…continue, like she wasn’t even part of it, on season ten?! She called it a ‘major mindfk,’ and I totally get it. It’s just… devastating. I can’t even imagine how hard that must be.

The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light. She also mentioned she and West were trying to improve their relationship. Because of that previous closeness, she felt Amanda’s actions were a greater betrayal than those of West.

Ultimately, people will be people,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of what’s happening with me and West, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What’s most surprising to me is that it came from Amanda, who I’ve considered a friend and supporter for a long time. That’s the part I find hardest to believe.”
