The latest Rebecca Yarros book adaptation

Those modern day romantic novelists….

Okay, so Rebecca Yarros is already a huge romance author, but she really blew up with her Fourth Wing fantasy series. Everyone in Hollywood started circling those books, and honestly, it’s a combo of her being super popular and the fact that everyone loves a good romance on the big screen. Now, I’m hearing that they’re adapting another one of her novels – The Things We Leave Unfinished! I’m definitely excited to see how this one turns out.

The latest Rebecca Yarros book adaptation details…

After a very public and painful divorce, a woman retreats to her childhood home in the Rocky Mountains. There, she’s forced to collaborate with a frustratingly confident, popular author to complete the unfinished World War II love story of her remarkable great-grandmother. As they work together, they begin to uncover long-hidden family secrets and find themselves unexpectedly drawn to each other.

Arash Amel, known for his work on ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’, will adapt the novel. Rebecca Yarros, the author, will executive produce ‘Things We Leave Unfinished’ through her production company, Full Measures Productions. Thea Sharrock, who previously directed the emotional drama ‘Me Before You’ as well as ‘Wicked Little Letters’, will direct the film.

The rise of the modern day romantic movie….

Lionsgate is expanding into the thriller genre, a move that’s already proven successful with films like The Housemaid, based on Freida McFadden’s novel and starring Sydney Sweeney. That film earned $400 million, and a sequel is already in the works. Recently, Lionsgate won a competitive bidding war for the rights to adapt Virginia Evans’s The Correspondent. Plus, fans can look forward to The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping later this year.
