These 18 castaways are ready to outwit, outplay and outlast.
Survivor has revealed the cast of season 49, set to premiere in September.
In Fiji’s competition for the $1 million prize, we find a political communications director from Washington D.C., a law clerk hailing from California, an artist originally from Austin, Texas, a scientist specializing in rockets from Denver, Colorado, and a fitness instructor residing in San Diego, California.
The individuals they will be competing against will include a social worker, a wellness specialist, an airport ground staff member, and others, as they engage in both physical and social contests.
Apart from introducing intense challenges, unexpected turns, and game-altering advantages, the upcoming Season 49 is set to serve as a formidable test of both physical and mental resilience, while offering an exhilarating lifelong adventure for the castaways marooned on the shores of Fiji. As stated in CBS’ August 20 announcement, these survivors will be required to establish a new society, acclimate to their environment, and skillfully navigate an unforeseeable social landscape to keep their torch burning.
Additionally, longtime host Jeff Probst will be back to lead the participants on their transformative journey towards a potentially life-altering reward.
In line with earlier reports, two veterans from Season 49 will make a comeback for “Survivor’s” historic 50th season titled “Survivor: In the Hands of the Fans“, joining 22 other former contestants and champions in 2026.
Significant returnees for the next season include: creator of The White Lotus, Mike White; previous winners Dee Valladares, Kyle Fraser, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, Aubry Bracco; and season 48 contestant Kamilla Karthigesu who is coming back.
Regarding White’s comeback to Fiji, where he placed second in Season 37 in 2018, Jeff Probst has shared that they plan on inviting the Emmy-winning TV star back for Survivor’s 50th season next year.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on August 7th, he expressed that Mike is likely the greatest storyteller we’ve ever seen on Survivor. He described Mike as uniquely peculiar yet profoundly affectionate. Mike is truly authentic, doing things his own way, and the outcomes are a testament to this. In truth, he feels blessed to call him a friend because he learns something new from Mike every day. This man is undeniably one of the best performers in Survivor’s history.
Probst added, “The fact that he said yes to Survivor still brings a smile on my face.”
Keep reading to meet all 18 new castaways.
