Tim Burton’s unique, darkly whimsical style is popular again, captivating viewers in both movies, like the recent Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and TV shows, such as the Netflix series Wednesday. This renewed success has led to new film projects for Burton, including a remake of a beloved science fiction classic.
I’m really excited about Tim Burton’s upcoming project, and I’m sure he’s pouring all his energy into making a fresh take on this classic story. But honestly? Sydney Sweeney just dropped a scene that’s so incredibly captivating and unexpected, it might actually steal the show before Burton’s version even comes out! It’s that good.
HBO’s Euphoria Gives Sydney Sweeney A Giant Upgrade

HBO’s Euphoria is currently airing its third and final season (as of this writing). The show revisits the characters we met as troubled teens, now five years after graduating high school. Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie, is now an adult film influencer and is engaged to her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Nate (Jacob Elordi). Things seem stable, but Cassie’s rising fame starts to create problems for Nate’s career. By the middle of the season (spoiler alert!), Cassie and Nate have broken up, and Cassie has returned to creating content on OnlyFans, with her friend Maddy (Alexa Demie) acting as her manager.
In the fifth episode of Euphoria Season 3, titled “This Little Piggy,” Maddy encourages Cassie to create increasingly explicit content. The scene then shifts into a surreal fantasy where Cassie grows to an enormous size, breaking free from the content house and walking through the city like a giant skyscraper. The sequence culminates with Cassie finding a male fan in his Hollywood office and giving him a provocative performance.

Although the recent scenes are bizarre and attention-grabbing, it’s evident that Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria, is using them to represent Cassie’s increasing popularity on OnlyFans and her growing drive. The sequence also pays homage to the 1958 cult sci-fi film Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, which starred Allison Hayes and was later remade in 1993 by Christopher Guest, featuring Daryl Hannah in the lead role.
Tim Burton’s Attack of the 50 Foot Remake is On the Way

News surfaced in July 2025 that Tim Burton is directing a new take on the classic film Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. Margot Robbie is set to star in and produce the remake. An update in February revealed that Burton was making good progress on the project, and writers Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan, known for their work on KPop Demon Hunters, are currently revising the script.
Tim Burton’s upcoming remake of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman will be a modern-day revenge story, with Margot Robbie taking on the role previously played by Allison Hayes and Daryl Hannah. Sources say Burton aims to capture the campy, low-budget feel of the original. Interestingly, a recent Euphoria tribute to the classic film is gaining a lot of attention online. This could be great publicity for Burton’s movie, but it also sets a specific, somewhat sensational tone that he and Robbie may need to address or differentiate from.
It’s surprising to still be discussing the movie Attack of the 50 Foot Woman so much in 2026! If you’re interested in talking more about Tim Burton’s films, check out the ComicBook Forum.
