Taskmaster twins reveal “raw and organic” experience on Channel 4 series – and who their favourite comedians were

Taskmaster has consistently made audiences laugh, largely thanks to the comedians on the show and the unusual challenges they face.

Let’s look at the task from Season 20, Episode 3, featuring Thompson. The celebrities were given a challenge: they had to figure out who was in a nearby lab, just down the hall. Working in teams, they took turns asking one question at a time, and the person in the lab could only answer with ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

It sounds easy, but it wasn’t! Twins Lyndsey and Louise, recently featured on ITV’s ‘The Neighbourhood,’ kept switching roles in the lab, successfully fooling the celebrities.

The twins said the most fun part of filming wasn’t the challenge itself, but getting to see how the Taskmaster show is made – and it was a really funny experience for both them and viewers at home.

Louise said the most exciting part was getting a look behind the scenes and meeting Alex Horne. Seeing such a well-known show being made felt incredible. She described the experience as really fun and said it was exactly like watching it on TV – very natural and unscripted. If something went wrong during filming, they just rolled with it; everything felt raw and organic.

Lyndsey agreed with her sister, saying she especially loved watching the comedian’s shocked reactions. She told TopMob, “They were completely stunned, and it was hilarious. I think it was one of our best projects – it was amazing to film.”

The girls loved the show’s set and had a great time overall. Louise especially enjoyed Maisie Adam’s performance, saying she was the funniest celebrity on stage, particularly when they discovered they looked like twins.

She mentioned that Sanjeev became frustrated at one point, even questioning, “Are you lying to me?” However, he was consistently polite. Despite having spoken to us countless times, he always greeted us warmly each time he came in. He was a really great guy.

Taskmaster continues Thursday 30 April at 9pm on Channel 4.
