The Batman Part II filming begins in the UK after director Matt Reeves confirmed A-list cast members

Filming for The Batman Part II has officially started, shortly after director Matt Reeves announced the cast.

Development of the next Batman movie, following the 2022 film, has been moving slowly. Its release date has been pushed back twice – first from October 2025 to October 2026, and then again to October 2027.

Pictures and videos from the film set were posted online on Thursday, May 21st, revealing that filming was happening in Liverpool, England.

On the set, fans noticed a stand-in for Robert Pattinson performing a stunt, a police car from Gotham City that looked wrecked and covered in snow, and a fresh logo for the movie displayed on a camera.
