Someone tried to run away from Coronation Street, but police caught them before they could leave the area.
The investigation into Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder continues, with Detective Sergeant Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) intensely questioning several people in town. She prioritized the case so much that she postponed her honeymoon to focus on the interviews.
Oh, and to support daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), who found his body.
George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) was the first person brought in for questioning. He had Theo’s blood on his sweater and hadn’t been seen much during the relevant time period. His partner, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), was brought in next, and the police are still investigating where she was and what she was doing.
Gary Windass, played by Mikey North, is also a suspect in Theo’s death. He damaged Theo’s van and sent him a threatening text shortly before Theo was killed.

George and Christina were shocked to discover Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) diary, which revealed she’d once considered threatening Theo with a gun. Summer was understandably angry that they’d read it and immediately burned the diary in the garden.
George was really disturbed, questioning why she seemed to be getting rid of evidence. He also recalled seeing her fleeing the area where the crime happened.
Summer insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong. When questioned, she immediately suspected George had told the police about her. However, Detective Sergeant Connor-Swain had discovered a photo of Summer wearing a brooch that was found at Theo’s apartment, and he wanted an explanation for how it ended up there.
She skillfully handled the uncomfortable moment and is now getting ready to go to America for her university internship.
She didn’t know it, but George had already spoken to Connor-Swain about his worries. He’d also confided in Christina, without realizing Summer was overhearing the conversation.
Todd Grimshaw was shocked when Summer revealed she was leaving for America that afternoon, fearing she’d be arrested. He pleaded with her to stay, arguing it would look suspicious, but she blamed him for everything, saying none of this would have happened if he hadn’t involved Theo.

Though Connor-Swain and his team were heading to Coronation Street to pick her up, Todd ultimately offered to drive Summer to the airport.
At the Rovers, Todd announced that a new witness had surfaced, pointing the finger at her. George appeared increasingly guilty as the pub regulars insisted Summer was a kind person who’d never hurt anyone.
But could she be responsible?
