Anne Hathaway is enjoying a major year with the release of her new film, Mother Mary, and the upcoming sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, which comes out this week.
Later in the year, she’ll appear in the sci-fi mystery, The End of Oak Street, and Christopher Nolan’s big-screen version of The Odyssey. But that’s not all she’s working on.
Anne Hathaway is set to star in the upcoming psychological thriller, Verity, which is based on Colleen Hoover’s 2018 novel. A first trailer for the movie has just been released.
The trailer opens with writer Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) kissing Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett). When she pulls back, his face shockingly transforms into that of his wife, Verity (Anne Hathaway). Lowen tries to break away, but Verity kisses her again, biting her lip and drawing blood. Lowen then screams in fear.
The film then features a series of dark and atmospheric scenes. During one of these, Verity warns, “Even though I’ve told you this, you’ll still listen to what I have to say. But be warned – there’s no hope where this leads.”
