This year, the Power Rangers franchise is launching three new series. Two will revisit the classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and feature a returning Green Ranger. The third series will explore over three decades of Power Rangers lore with fresh storylines, and it’s already generating buzz thanks to a brand new Ranger who’s quickly becoming a fan favorite based on early previews.
The latest Power Ranger, known as the Striking Tiger Unlimited Ranger, is finally showcased in a new preview from ICV2. While their identity remains a mystery, the preview reveals some important information. Apparently, this Ranger is believed to be deceased in the current timeline, and they come from a reality where Lord Zedd has already been defeated. The preview also shows the enemies they’re battling: Tengu Warriors, Putties, and Machine Empire Cogs – villains fans will recognize from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Mighty Morphin movie, and Power Rangers Zeo. Power Rangers Unlimited Features A Battle on a Multiversal Scale
The trailers show Zedd commanding a large army against the new Ranger. However, the Ranger isn’t facing this threat alone – we see a powerful team has been gathered to fight alongside them. We get a small clue about the person who created and leads this team under the new Ranger, but their background remains a mystery.
The team features a variety of past Power Rangers, including Aurico (Red Ranger from Alien Rangers), Tanya (Yellow Ranger from Power Rangers Zeo), Damon Henderson (Green Ranger from Lost Galaxy), Danny Delgado (Black Ranger from Wild Force), Tori Hanson (Wind Ranger from Ninja Storm), Xander Bly (Green Ranger from Mystic Force), Gia Moran (Yellow Ranger from Megaforce), and Robert James (Wolf Ranger from Jungle Fury). You can see many of these Rangers battling against an army put together by Zedd.
