The trailer for the new teen drama, Sunny Dancer, starring Bella Ramsey and Jessica Gunning, has just been released.
George Jaques, the writer and director of ‘Black God’, brings us a film about Ivy, played by Ramsey, who’s just finished battling cancer. Her parents (Gunning and James Norton) enroll her in a summer program she reluctantly refers to as “chemo camp.”
The latest trailer offers a glimpse into her transformation: she initially arrives at camp unwillingly and unhappy, but gradually forms friendships and enjoys a memorable summer.

Sunny Dancer first showed at the Berlin International Film Festival in February and was well-received by critics, including our own reviewer who praised it as “sharply funny, shrewdly directed” and noted its realistic portrayal of teenage life.

Bella Ramsey first gained recognition for playing Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones, and later became widely known for her role as Ellie in the series The Last of Us.
You might have recently seen them in the 2022 film Catherine Called Birdy, which is based on a popular book. They’re also going to be in the next season of the reality show Celebrity Traitors, which everyone is looking forward to.
Darren Boyd has appeared in many TV shows, including Stephen Merchant’s The Outlaws and Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer. He also had a role in the 2014 film Pride.
