The Valley’s Danny Booko Apologizes for Treatment of Wife Nia Sanchez

Danny Booko isn’t proud of his actions.

Following criticism of his actions on the May 20th episode of the Bravo reality show The Valley, the star publicly apologized to his wife, Nia Sanchez.

Following the latest episode, Danny apologized to his wife on Instagram. He admitted that rewatching recent episodes had been tough, and he felt ashamed of how he acted during a challenging time in their lives.

During a cast trip to San Diego, a couple with four young children got into a big fight. Their costar, Lala Kent, confronted Danny about being disrespectful. Now, Danny admits he should have drunk less alcohol on the trip.

He acknowledged that being easily angered, combined with stress, alcohol, and not getting enough sleep, was a bad mix. However, he emphasized that this wasn’t a justification for his actions, and he shouldn’t have taken his frustrations out on the other person.

Although some fans thought Danny’s actions were wrong, he admitted he was equally shocked when he saw the video.

Let me tell you, becoming a parent really changes your perspective. It pushes you in ways you never expect, and suddenly you see yourself and your reactions differently. Honestly, it’s made me realize I haven’t always shown the love and respect my partner deserves, especially during those tough moments, and that’s something I’m working on. It’s about acknowledging when you fall short and striving to do better.

Danny finished by telling Nia, “I love you more than words can say. I’m so thankful for you, for our family, and for the wonderful, messy life we share. I truly thank God for you every single day.”

During the show, Lala explained that Danny’s behavior towards Nia upset her, and this made him even angrier.

He apologized on the show the next day, but canceled a scheduled appearance on Watch What Happens Live on May 20th due to the negative reaction. Host Andy Cohen mentioned a scheduling issue as the reason.

Danny kept apologizing in an interview after appearing on the show The Valley. He explained what he was thinking before the difficult conversation happened.

I was preparing for the drag queen pageant, and it seemed like Nia was rushing around and handling the judges at the same time. It all just put me in a bad mood.

I made a mistake and shouldn’t have spoken to her that way, even if I was trying to be funny or if other things were going on at the time. I always want to treat my wife with love and respect, and I failed to do that in that moment.

As for Nia’s take on the drama?

Daniel and I definitely have our ups and downs. We can get tense and sometimes snap at each other. There are times when things are amazing, and other times they’re not. What viewers will see is that we went through a lot of challenging moments where we were both easily frustrated and had short tempers.

You can watch The Valley on Bravo every Wednesday at 8 p.m. For premiere dates of other shows you enjoy, keep reading to find out what’s coming in 2026.

As for Nia’s take on the drama?

Okay, so with Daniel and me, things aren’t always perfect, you know? We definitely have our moments where we clash, and sometimes we snap at each other. But honestly, it’s like a rollercoaster – we have these amazing times where everything feels incredible, and then… not so much. What you’re going to see is that we went through a lot of ups and downs, a lot of tension, and we both had really short tempers at times. It’s real life, and it wasn’t always easy, but I think you’ll see all of it.
