Trista Sutter, Ryan Sutter’s Son Is His Dad’s Twin in Graduation Pics

Trista Sutter’s son Maxwell Sutter has earned his flowers.

More than twenty years after Trista gave Ryan Sutter her final rose on the very first season of The Bachelorette in 2003, their oldest child has now graduated from high school.

Trista shared photos from her son’s graduation, writing that she expected to be overwhelmed with sadness, but was instead filled with happiness and pride. She expressed gratitude for all the love and support he’s received, and admired his humility, faith, courage, strength, confidence, and dedication, all of which helped him reach this milestone.

The photos show Maxwell beaming with his parents, his sister Blakesley (age 17), and his girlfriend, all dressed for graduation. He looks remarkably like his father, and they appear almost the same height when standing together.

Although reaching this milestone is emotional for Trista, she’s thrilled for Maxwell as he begins a new phase in his life.

She finished her post by saying that although he’s leaving home, she’s confident he’ll succeed, knowing he’s cherished and has her full support.

Trista and Ryan have always had a clear idea of how to make their marriage and home life as good as possible.

Ryan says he and Trista operate under the belief that nothing can tear them apart. He told People magazine that while they definitely have disagreements, they never consider ending the relationship. Instead, when things get tough, they take time to cool off and reflect, whether that means taking longer walks or simply needing some space to think.

He explained that they always find their way back to each other and resolve issues. He believes that things aren’t necessarily better elsewhere, and you achieve the best results by focusing on and nurturing what you already have.

Trista agreed, adding that their ability to not take life too seriously has been key to their happy relationship.

We have a lot of fun and enjoy joking with each other – we’re pretty sarcastic, actually. But we also strongly believe in working hard, getting an education, and being thankful for everything we have. We really focus on setting ourselves up to succeed.
