TikToker Madeleine White Claps Back at Criticism Over Daughter’s Name

Madeleine White’s daughter is cuter than a June bug.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m seeing a lot of conversation around names lately! I’m hearing from one TikTok creator, who recently welcomed her daughter Juliette July Fedyk with her husband Andrew Fedyk, that she’s really happy with her baby’s name and isn’t interested in any negative comments about it. It’s a beautiful name, and honestly, as parents, what matters most is that you love it!

In a TikTok posted on June 3rd, Madeleine playfully teased someone about naming their daughter July when she was actually born in June. She joked that the daughter would constantly have to explain the discrepancy, saying, ‘Oh, I was supposed to be born in July!’ but then quickly added, ‘Wrong. Sorry, wrong.’

“Now, if your name is April, please come to the front,” she said. “And anyone born in April, please join them. Now, those named May, and anyone born in May, please come forward as well.”

Madeleine jokingly questioned whether actress January Jones’s birth certificate had been checked.

She strongly believes you shouldn’t give a child a name that doesn’t relate to the time of year they were born. For example, even if a baby was born in December, she wouldn’t name her July.

Soon after Madeleine posted, her comments section filled with people pointing out that their names didn’t actually have any special meaning.

A user named Autumn shared that she was born in the spring. Another user, who has the middle name Joy, commented that she hasn’t yet experienced that feeling.

Madeleine responded sarcastically to the criticism, hinting that there might be further reactions from her.

She joked that people thought she was moody while pregnant, but warned they hadn’t seen anything yet compared to how she’d feel after giving birth, especially with her baby in the NICU.

Little Juliette was born a bit early, at 33 weeks, so she’s currently in the NICU while she gets stronger before her parents, Madeleine and Andrew, can bring her home.

In a video shared after Juliette’s birth, Madeleine discussed her challenging labor. She had been diagnosed with preeclampsia and placental abruption, which led to an emergency C-section.

Sharing from her hospital bed in a TikTok posted on June 3rd, she reassured her followers that the experience wasn’t as scary as she’d imagined. She explained that while lying on the operating table, she drew strength from remembering her friends who had successfully undergone emergency C-sections, telling herself, ‘If they could do it, so can I.’

She explained that any discomfort during labor quickly fades when you finally meet your baby. She shared that even though she was on the operating table for over an hour after giving birth, she didn’t even realize it because she was completely focused on her newborn. She described it as the most wonderful and magical experience of her life.

So much so that she’s overcome with emotion every time she goes to visit her.

“She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Madeleine concluded. “It’s so worth it.”

If you’re curious about more celebrities and the unusual or talked-about names they’ve chosen for their kids, keep reading.

In May 2020, Elon Musk and Grimes announced the birth of their son, originally naming him X Æ A-12. They later changed the spelling to X Æ A-Xii to comply with California law, which only allows English letters in names. They replaced the numbers with Roman numerals to achieve this.

Grimes explained on Twitter that ‘X’ represents an unknown variable, and ‘Æ’ is her unique, elven-inspired way of spelling ‘AI’ – short for love and/or Artificial Intelligence. She also clarified that ‘A-12’ is a reference to the SR-17 aircraft, which is her favorite. She emphasized the aircraft is built for speed, not combat, lacking both weapons and defensive systems – making it powerful in a fight, but fundamentally non-violent.

Grimes revealed that her favorite song is titled “A=Archangel,” sharing a rat and sword emoji and adding, “Metal rat.”

In March 2022, she announced they had welcomed daughter Exa Dark Sideræl Musk via surrograte.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how we connect big concepts to everyday life. Recently, I was explaining the meaning behind the ‘Exa’ in ExaGear. It actually comes from the world of supercomputing – ‘exaFLOPS’ refers to a computer’s ability to perform an incredible one quintillion calculations every second! Then we talked about ‘Dark.’ It’s easy to think of darkness as scary, but really, it’s just the absence of light – specifically, photons. And when we talk about dark matter, well, that’s the beautiful, intriguing mystery of the universe – what we don’t yet understand!

Sideræl (pronounced sigh-deer-ee-el) represents universal time, based on the stars and deep space, rather than time as we experience it on Earth. The name also pays tribute to Galadriel, a character from The Lord of the Rings, who famously chooses to give up the One Ring.

I just think it’s the sweetest thing ever – a little bit of Disney magic for their little guy!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes named their daughter Suri after finding the name in a baby-naming book. Cruise explained to Vanity Fair that they had already chosen the name, anticipating a girl.
