Top Gun, Zelda, Iron Man, and More Lead This Week’s Biggest Collectible Auctions

Let’s check out what’s happening in the world of collectibles! This week has a lot of exciting auctions, with highlights including items from Marvel’s Iron Man, Top Gun, The Legend of Zelda, and other popular franchises. Between Goldin and Heritage Auctions, there’s plenty for collectors to watch.

Val Kilmer’s Iceman Top Gun Flight Helmet

Goldin has launched its Spring 2026 Pop Culture Elite Auction, and a highlight is a flight helmet worn by Val Kilmer while filming Top Gun. This is the actual HGU-33/P helmet, complete with oxygen mask and connector, that Kilmer used as Lieutenant Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in the classic movie, and it’s full of details fans will recognize and appreciate.

This Top Gun flight helmet, used in the production and featuring Val Kilmer’s Iceman character, has a unique design with Iceman on the back and blue lightning bolts across the top. The side displays a fist and lightning bolt emblem. It also includes a handwritten note and signature from director Tony Scott, who sketched a director smoking a cigar with the message, “A Top Gun gift in return for all your generosity. Many thanks.” The helmet is currently up for auction with a starting bid of $25,000 and 26 days remaining.

Tony Stark’s First Appearance

Iron Man is one of Marvel’s most famous heroes, and his story began in the original Tales of Suspense #39 comic book. This issue is incredibly valuable because it marks Iron Man’s first appearance. While any copy of this comic is worth something, this particular one is in such excellent condition that it’s exceptionally rare and valuable.

This issue of Tales of Suspense #39 is in remarkably good condition, earning a grade of 9.0 from CGC. With only 2% of copies graded by CGC achieving a higher score, this one is expected to be a highly sought-after item during the auction. Bidding currently stands at $22,000, and there are still 26 days left to bid.

The Legend of Zelda and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Both Soaring

As a huge retro gaming fan, I’m really excited about a couple of items up for auction right now. First up is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo. This isn’t just any copy, though – it’s an early Japanese production from 1992, and it’s in amazing condition, graded an 85 by VGA. There’s just a little bit of wear on the box, and bidding is currently at $1100. You’ve still got 20 days to get in on it if you’re interested!

Rounding out our list is the original The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Classic. This is a particularly valuable first-production copy, identified by markings in the manual. These early versions still include the original cassette-style manual. There are only three known sealed copies of this specific version, and this one has been professionally graded by PSA with a remarkably high score of 9.6, making it the best-preserved complete-in-box copy currently known.

A sealed copy of The Legend of Zelda game is up for auction and is considered a particularly valuable find. The current high bid is $5,250, and there are still 20 days left to bid.
