This week, on January 23rd, two classic PlayStation 1 beat ‘em up games – Fighting Force (1997) and Fighting Force 2 (1999) – are being released together as a compilation for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Limited Run Games has released The Fighting Force Collection, which brings both 3D fighting games together in a single package for modern consoles.
Created by the team behind Tomb Raider, the first Fighting Force game lets you choose from four characters to defeat the villainous Dr. Dex Zeng. It’s similar to a fresh take on the classic Streets of Rage.
The new game has a similar idea to the first, but you play it alone. The original game allowed two players to play together.
Physical copies of the game were previously available for pre-order through Limited Run Games, but they are now all gone. If you didn’t get a physical copy, this digital version is a great alternative.
