The popular show Celebrity Race Across the World is back for a third season on BBC One, with a fresh set of famous faces embarking on an incredible journey.
The show features four pairs of loved ones – Anita Rani with her dad Bal, Dylan Llewellyn with his mum Jackie, couple Tyler West and Molly Rainford, and siblings Roman and Harleymoon Kemp – who are trading their comfortable lives for a challenging and unpredictable adventure.
The BBC has announced that celebrities and their families will compete on a particularly scenic and varied course this year.
Where are the celebrities heading in their journey? Keep reading to discover the route they’re taking on Race Across the World.
What is the Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 route?

The celebrities start their adventure in Isla Mujeres, in the most easterly point of Mexico.
After that, they need to journey 5,900 kilometers to the finish line in La Guajira Peninsula, Colombia—often called the gateway to South America.
As a huge fan of these adventure races, I’m fascinated by the Colombia leg! The teams will be navigating through South America, hitting five different checkpoints. The really clever part is they won’t know where they’re going next until they reach the current checkpoint – it’s a total mystery until the last moment, which makes it so exciting!
According to series producer Phil Lewis, the team aims for a journey lasting about 32 days, balancing the regular and celebrity versions of the show when planning the route.
We’re planning a long and varied adventure, taking us through diverse landscapes – from mountains and deserts to jungles and seas. We want each episode to feel unique, while also building towards a larger story arc throughout the series.
