A recent episode of EastEnders showed Max Branning (played by Jake Wood) getting ready to walk down the aisle again – this would be his fifth marriage.
As with many soap opera weddings, things didn’t go smoothly. He was arrested for trying to arrange a murder, spent the day in jail, and then found out his oldest children, Lauren and Oscar, were being held hostage at gunpoint.
It’s going to be a long year of suspense before we learn which of the children he ultimately saves. However, we’ll get answers to some other mysteries much sooner.

Hopefully one of those relates to the identity of his bride-to-be.
The episode presented four potential suspects: Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), the mother of his youngest daughter Annie; Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who believes he’s responsible for her son Steven’s death; his sister-in-law Denise Fox (Diane Parish); and Denise’s daughter, Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams).
But could it be someone else?

EastEnders has tricked viewers before. For example, the show once made it seem like Nish Panesar was killed by The Six, but it turned out to be Keanu Taylor.
Although Bobby Beale (formerly known as Eliot Carrington) wasn’t initially considered a suspect when his sister Lucy died, a later flashback showed he was actually responsible.

Could Max be getting married again? Fans are wondering if either his former daughter-in-law and the woman he truly loves, Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner), or his second ex-wife, Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner), might be the bride.
Share your opinion and cast your vote in the poll below! We’ve added some unexpected options after Max’s recent romantic attention towards the women of Walford.
