Everyone’s been trying to figure out who killed Theo Silverton – it turns out he’s James Cartwright, and it’s been a big mystery for us Coronation Street fans! We knew months ago they were hinting at a murder, and now we’re all trying to piece together what happened, especially since it involves Todd Grimshaw’s awful ex.
Tonight on the show, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) reveals the investigation into what happened to Theo will begin this week. He and Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) plan to conduct a series of tough interviews to find out the truth about Theo’s last moments.
The neighborhood is shocked and trying to understand how someone they know could be a murderer, while those suspected of the crime are desperately trying to conceal the truth, according to an official statement.
“This month, the pressure mounts to a breaking point as the hunt for Theo’s killer commences.”
So, who’s in the firing line?
We previously shared our guesses – and we were pretty confident about them! – but the show has now revealed which characters Kit and Lisa will be investigating, and one of them will be identified as the murderer.

You can find the confirmed suspects – and their motives – below.
Who killed Theo Silverton in Coronation Street?
Todd Grimshaw

After enduring ongoing abuse from Theo and feeling frustrated by his lack of accountability, did Todd finally seek ultimate revenge simply to escape Theo’s control?
Was he driven to believe that killing his abuser was his only option for freedom?
George Shuttleworth

Even though George strongly insists he didn’t do it, could his eagerness to shield another person be a way of hiding his own involvement in a serious crime?
George (Tony Maudsley) has always been like a father figure to Todd, and in tonight’s episode, he was spotted reading a newspaper article about a recent murder.
Gary Windass

Was Gary’s attempt to help Todd actually an act of revenge against the person who was hurting his friend, and did it go too far, resulting in deadly consequences?
Gary destroyed Theo’s van and followed up with a threatening text. He has a history of violence, and this isn’t the first time his actions have had deadly consequences.
Summer Spellman

Knowing Theo was Billy’s killer, did the emotional burden of this secret finally lead Summer to take someone’s life?
Summer Bibby was one of the last people to see Theo before he died, and tonight’s episode revealed she had been writing about how much she disliked him in her diary.

Christina Boyd

How far will she go to protect George? It’s clear she’s hiding something big, and we’re left to question if she had anything to do with Theo’s death.
Christina, played by Amy Robbins, might seem like the least likely suspect, but she’s definitely capable of causing trouble. The question is, has she gone as far as committing murder?
Danielle Silverton

Rumors are starting about why Danielle might have killed her ex-husband. Was it revenge, or could money have been a factor?
Danielle (played by Natalie Anderson) might still be upset about her husband leaving her for Todd.
Over the next few weeks, the story will reveal a tangled network of lies, leading to a powerful and emotional finale.
