Tom Holland had a feeling he was meant to sing and dance in the rain.

Apart from being famous for portraying the friendly Spider-Man character from Marvel, this actor is particularly recognized for his extraordinary 2017 rendition on Lip Sync Battle. During that performance, he convincingly embodied Rihanna while lip-syncing to “Umbrella.

However, as per Tom’s account, he and his fiancée Zendaya, who were competing together in that particular episode, had initially decided to keep their performances understated.

In a candid admission on Gordon Ramsay’s Scrambled, I shared that at the moment, our conversation revolved around our plans, and we had mutually decided to approach things with caution. Essentially, I expressed that there would be no excessive actions from my end, nor from theirs. We agreed to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable pace, keeping things easy-going and breezy.

After joining the Lip Sync Battle team, Tom’s ideas began to grow more extravagant. This was particularly evident when he decided to play a trick on the audience. He started off by performing “Singin’ in the Rain,” but then suddenly moved on to “Umbrella.

He joked about keeping it secret so he could debut “with a bang,” referencing the impressive back flip at the finale.

Meanwhile, Zendaya, who sang Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic”, was equally amazed by her performance as the audience, yet Tom shared that his father, Dominic Holland, had reservations about letting the 21-year-old perform at that time.
