Turns out Dax Shepard doesn’t want this.

Okay, so Dax is *so* supportive of Kristen and her show, *Nobody Wants This*, which is hilarious, by the way. But Kristen basically said there’s zero chance of Dax ever appearing *on* the show! He’s just too busy doing his own thing – podcasting is his life, and he’s not giving that up to be on screen, apparently. Honestly, I get it, he’s perfect at what he does, but a little cameo would be AMAZING!

Oh my gosh, I was practically *there* when Kristen told Will Marfuggi from TopMob News all about him! She said he *loves* podcasting, like, seriously loves it. And get this – he’d totally do a podcast *if I asked*! But she’s so sweet, she doesn’t want to pressure him into anything he’s not feeling. It just… it makes me love them both even more, you know?

She feels equally strongly about his work ideas. She says if he asked her to co-host a daily podcast with him, she’d definitely say no.

Although Dax won’t be acting in the second season of *Nobody Wants This*, which premieres on Netflix October 23rd, he still likes spending time with the show’s crew and being on set.

“He comes for lunch and stuff,” Kristen continued, “so he plays a lot off camera.”

It seems the acting gene runs strong in my family! My oldest daughter, Lincoln, who’s twelve, is really starting to show a passion for performing, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up following in my footsteps.

Kristen shared that her eldest daughter is very involved in theater, especially musical productions. She added that her daughter is a lot like her, and she finds it wonderful to see.

Oh my gosh, she’s just *amazing*! Seriously, Kristen is 45 and a mom to Delta, who’s ten, and she was talking about Lincoln, her daughter, and how incredibly into Broadway she is. It’s so cool! She said Lincoln will casually drop these amazing facts, like, ‘Did you know Jeremy Jordan is doing *The Great Gatsby* again in November?’ And I’m just sitting there thinking, ‘YES! Of course, I knew that!’ It’s like we’re connected on this secret Broadway level, and it’s the best thing ever!

As for how Kristen feels about watching her kid take to the acting stage? 

Seeing her happy makes me incredibly happy too,” she said. “That’s where I learned to truly express myself and experience the best, most joyful times in my life.

She also added that theater students are incredibly kind and talented, and that’s all she could ask for her daughter.

In September 2025, Kristen shared a heartwarming look at her family’s close connection while celebrating Dax’s milestone anniversary of staying sober.

She shared what reaching 21 years of sobriety feels like: a lot of love and connection. “I’m hugging everyone and everything—embracing life!” she wrote. She expressed her deep gratitude to Dax Shepard for his sobriety, saying they all are thankful to have him.

The father-daughter duo cuddled during a sweet moment in another snap.
