The newest Star Wars game is now available at no extra cost for Xbox Game Pass members. Star Wars video games have become much more common over the last ten years, with several titles like Star Wars Eclipse, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Star Wars Jedi 3 currently in development. If you can’t wait for those upcoming games, the latest high-quality Star Wars title is now easier to play than ever before.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can now download and play Star Wars Outlaws. Published by Ubisoft in 2024, Outlaws is an open-world Star Wars game where you play as Kay Vess, a scoundrel trying to survive in the galaxy’s criminal underworld. This is a fresh take for Star Wars games, which usually focus on Jedi or Sith, though the gameplay itself is similar to other action-adventure titles.
This Star Wars Game Joins Game Pass at the Perfect Time

The timing for Star Wars Outlaws joining Xbox Game Pass is perfect. When the game first came out in 2024, opinions were divided among players and reviewers. However, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have been actively improving it based on player feedback. These improvements include a significant rework of the stealth mechanics and upgrades to enemy AI, making combat more fun. Plus, downloadable content has added even more to the game’s story.
Okay, so Star Wars Outlaws isn’t flawless, but honestly, it’s in the best shape it’s ever been since it came out. If you’ve been even a little curious about it, I’d say it’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re already a Game Pass subscriber. Just a heads-up though – you’ll need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to play it.
