XRP Poised for a Breakout
The man of some repute notes that XRP is currently confined within a symmetrical triangle on the daily chart-a geometric gesture in which price flits between lower highs and higher lows, tightening as if the market were trying on a new belt.
From the proportions alone, a breakout might propel the price by roughly 26% in either direction.
Yet Martinez warns that this is the kind of zone where truth and bravado duel; false breakouts have a reputation for misdirecting even the most seasoned spectator.
At present, XRP hovers between two cardinal zones: support near $1.35 and resistance around $1.45.
A close above $1.45 could unlock an ascent toward roughly $1.82; a tumble below $1.35 might see XRP tiptoeing toward $1.00, which would be a most undignified birthday present.
XRP See 23% Jump In May
Although the indicators point to a possible breakout, the broader market remains waiting for a signal. History, that punctilious old bore, records May as one of XRP’s most vigorous months.
Over the last 13 years, XRP has averaged a gain of more than 23% in May.
If history repeats, XRP could climb toward the $1.75 range by June and perhaps even sample the resistance near $2.03.
GraniteShares XRP ETF Launch Could Stir the Pot
Another key date to watch is May 7, when leveraged XRP ETFs from GraniteShares are expected to launch. This event could inject volatility and act as the spark for the next notable move.
As of now, XRP spot ETF inflows have crossed $1.29 billion, a figure that suggests institutional demand is not merely present but holding XRP steady through the current lull.
The next few days could be decisive. If XRP breaks out of its current range, May may inaugurate with far more than a 1.5% gain.
