A strategy RPG that came out in 2025, normally priced at $50, is currently available for free for a limited time. This offer is part of Epic Games Store’s weekly free game promotions. While some users recently felt the quality of these free games had dropped, Epic seems to have listened to feedback and is now offering one of its best free titles yet in 2026.

Until the morning of May 21st, you can get Sunderfolk for free on the Epic Games Store. Released in April 2025, Sunderfolk is a cooperative, tactical RPG set in a fantasy world, heavily inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. You can choose from six characters, each with unique abilities. While you can play alone, a standout feature is its couch co-op mode, letting players use their smartphones or tablets as controllers.

I was really surprised to see Sunderfolk completely free right now! It usually costs $50, so this is a huge deal. And it’s not like it’s a bad game either – it’s actually really well-received, with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. Plus, the developers, Secret Door, just dropped a massive 2.0 update with tons of new content. Honestly, if you’ve been thinking about trying Sunderfolk, now is absolutely the perfect time.
