70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X adds remastered vs. original toggle

Fans of the classic anime Geppy-X will be happy to hear that the remastered game will let you switch between updated graphics and the original 1999 visuals. This feature was announced by publisher Bliss Brain and developer Implicit Conversion.

Here are the details:

We’re excited to offer newly remastered, high-definition versions of the animations. These were created by directly converting the original Betacam tapes from the studio.

After hearing from many fans who expressed interest in seeing the original animations, we decided to add a way to switch between the remastered versions and the originals. We believe preserving the original content is important, and this feature will be available in the main game – you won’t need to download anything extra.

Step back in time with the original release, which featured an incredible 8,000 individually hand-drawn animated frames. Keep in mind that the original version had some scenes altered during production, so it may have minor differences compared to the newly remastered version, which stays true to the original animation. We hope you’ll appreciate the artistry and detail the team poured into this unique experience.

The retro-inspired robot anime game, Geppy-X, will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) on July 16th.
