
As of July 1, 2025, Sony revealed that they’ve distributed 80.3 million PlayStation 5 consoles globally, according to their quarterly financial report.
Approximately 2.5 million PlayStation 5 consoles were delivered between April and June of 2025, marking a 100,000 increase in shipments compared to the corresponding three-month period in the preceding financial year.
Here are a couple of additional statistics:
- There are 123 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of June 30, 2025, which is up seven million from the 116 million active users during the same period the previous fiscal year.
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 65.9 million units during the three months ended June 30, 2025, which is up 12.3 million from the 53.6 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 6.9 million units were first-party titles, which is up 0.9 million from the 6.0 million units sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 83 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is up three percent from the same period the previous fiscal year.
