A recent report from Dealabs suggests that reliable leaker billbil-kun has provided some exciting news about the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. According to this report, both the ROG Xbox Ally X and the standard ROG Xbox Ally are expected to be released on October 16, 2025.
Preorders for these devices are anticipated to open on August 20, aligning with Xbox’s presence at Gamescom 2025. The report also indicates that the ROG Xbox Ally X will cost €899, while the lower-tier model, the ROG Xbox Ally, will retail for €599. Interestingly, these prices were previously leaked when they appeared in online ASUS store metadata.
It’s important to note that while these prices are given in Euros, they may not directly translate to other regions, particularly the U.S., due to ongoing tariff issues. The Trump administration’s tariffs continue to create uncertainty in the global hardware market, so the final pricing may vary.
When these devices were first unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Microsoft mentioned that they planned to release them during the Holiday season of 2025. Since then, there have been no further official details released.
The Xbox Ally handhelds are collaborative efforts between Microsoft and ASUS, with Microsoft providing custom work to enhance the existing ROG Ally PC gaming handhelds. The ROG Xbox Ally X boasts a more powerful processor than its counterpart, along with a black shell, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB NVME SSD storage, compared to the standard model’s 16GB of RAM and 512GB capacity.
Not too long to wait

The fantastic news is that if it turns out to be true, we won’t have to wait long to discover it since Gamescom 2025 is right around the corner in just a couple of weeks.
Reloaded remaster on the device. I was particularly impressed by the triggers, which offered an incredibly satisfying feel when hitting Locust enemies with shots.
5. The game looked impressive, running at high settings and maintaining a smooth frame rate of 75-90 FPS even in sections filled with chaos and explosions.
6. If this device is capable of smoothly handling the latest games, I’m excited to give it a try when it launches later this year.
