Current action side-scrollers are quite popular, with games like Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance leading the way. Add to that list Bitmap Bureau’s Terminator 2D: No Fate, which will be released on October 31st and offers intense shoot ’em up gameplay across fifteen levels and various modes.
As a gamer, I’m pumped! A fresh gameplay trailer is out now, revealing all the exciting features we can look forward to. The PlayStation Blog has also broken down the difficulty settings: Easy Money, No Problemo, Hasta La Vista, and Judgment Day. Finishing Mother of the Future (speedrunning mode) unlocks the challenging Judgment Day. If you’ve got what it takes to conquer Story Mode on its toughest setting, the Cheats menu will be yours!
Each level’s challenge can differ based on enemy placement, available continues, presence of a time limit, and the amount of damage you inflict. For instance, Easy Money offers endless continues and no timer for many stages. Additionally, finer details such as a smaller crosshair when fighting the T-1000 during the highway pursuit will adjust at higher difficulties.
As a devoted fan, I’d say that while the easiest setting lets everyone savor the game, “No Problemo” offers a more balanced experience. However, what truly sets Bitmap Bureau apart is their commitment to creating a challenge reminiscent of the raw, exhilarating feel of old-school arcade games. It’s like they’ve transported us back in time!
The game titled “Terminator 2D: No Fate” is scheduled to release on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye out for further updates over the next few months.
