The singer known for “Level Up” has recently shown the scars from her pregnancies with her four children – Future Zahir (11), Sienna Princess (8), Win Harrison (5), and Amora Princess (19 months). In an Instagram video posted on August 6th, she expressed, “I am the proud mother of my beautiful four kids, and they have graced me with these stretch marks.
Ciara casually adjusted the waistline of her trousers, displaying her stretch marks, and confidently remarked, “What’s the point in hiding when I can flaunt instead?
In her post’s description, she mentioned, “Just like everyone else, I sometimes struggle with self-doubt about my skin. Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of discussions that seem to imply we should conceal ourselves. So, what keeps you from openly displaying your own skin?
Ciara, who has two children with ex-partner Future and three more with husband Russell Wilson, has previously expressed acceptance of her skin’s flaws. In fact, the title song of her 2019 album, “Beauty Marks,” celebrates exactly this idea.
She expressed that it meant a lot to her, impacting both her life and her personal story. The concept of viewing scars as symbols of beauty resonated deeply with her, at that point in time.
In reference to putting on approximately 60 pounds during her initial two pregnancies with Future and Sienna, the artist behind “Goodies” described the stretch marks acquired as a result as “symbols of beauty.
She mentioned that “Beauty Marks” carries a lot of importance for her and her personal experiences. She’s eager to involve others in this journey, hoping they can embrace the idea that aspects they see as their imperfections or flaws – the things that may not seem perfect – are actually beautiful parts of themselves.
