Tammy Slaton and Andrea Dalton are engaged just months after going public with their romance.
On the June 24th edition of the “A Creative Chaos” podcast, the 38-year-old star from “1000-Lb Sisters” hinted at a recent development in her and Dalton’s relationship, which they have reached a new milestone.
“Me and my fiancée,” Slaton told host Hunter Ezell. “We just kind of chill at home.”
After hearing Slaton’s answer, Ezell asked for clarification, “Hold on, fiancée?”
During a chat on camera in the video interview, Slaton flashed a grin and displayed her sparkling diamond ring. However, the TLC figure didn’t disclose more information about their engagement, only mentioning that she and Dalton have been a couple for three years.
Approximately two months back, during an episode of the show 1000-Lb Sisters, Slaton disclosed that there was someone significant in her life.
She shared, during a private moment, that she’s been in a relationship with a woman for the last few months, and things are progressing smoothly.
Slaton admitted that she had chosen to keep her relationship with Dalton on the down-low, as she was concerned about how her loved ones might respond to it.
She went on to express, “I’m considering a new approach for this relationship compared to what I’ve done before.” She added, “That’s why I haven’t shared the news with my family yet, as they might offer their opinions.
After learning about the relationship, Slaton’s mom and older sisters voiced their support.
Darlene expressed that if Andrea truly loves Tammy and brings joy to her, it will make Darlene content too,” or simply, “Darlene is pleased if Andrea makes Tammy happy because she cares for her.
Dalton revealed during another episode of 1000-Lb Sisters, that she and Slaton met on a dating app.
She shared that she had barely stepped onto the location when she found herself there for a short while. In this brief moment, she spotted someone and was spotted in return, and conversation ensued. Since then, they’ve been in regular contact each day.
Prior to my relationship with Dalton, I was wedded to Caleb Willingham – a bond we formed following our mutual encounter at a rehabilitation facility in Ohio, back in November 2022. Our love story unfolded steadily until Caleb’s untimely passing in June 2023. At just 40 years of age, he left behind a profound impact on my life and those who knew him.
One year after losing her husband, Slaton opened up about her sexuality.
In a TikTok video from January 2024, Slaton stated, ‘I’m an advocate for everyone.’ Previously, she identified as pansexual but stopped dating men following her husband’s passing. Now, she identifies as a lesbian. She believes love should be universal, regardless of whether someone is gay, straight, transgender, bisexual, nonbinary, or anything else. In essence, she considers herself a lover.
