Why Kylie Kelce Still Questions If She Has the “Mom Gene”

Kylie Kelce’s not gonna lie about her motherhood journey.

In truth, the host of “Not Gonna Lie”, who has five children – Wyatt (age 5), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and Finnely (3 months) with Jason Kelce – openly acknowledged that she’s yet to determine if she inherently possesses the ‘maternal instinct’ or gene.

On the June 24th episode of the House of Maher podcast, Kylie, who is 33, admitted, “To be honest, I’m still uncertain about it, and I have to say this openly. I tell everyone I’m just making it up as I go along.

In 2018, Kylie, who became Mrs. Jason then, confessed that despite being affectionately known as “mom” during her college years, she found herself unprepared for the reality of raising four children of her own.

She shared, “From the start, I’ve felt a strong desire to have four children. Before becoming a mom, I thought, ‘I want as many babies as possible.’ Now, being in the thick of it, I often wonder, ‘Am I getting this right?’ Each day brings new challenges.

Although she’s not always confident about it, Kylie remembered an instance during the 2024 Paris Olympics where she and Jason were childless, prompting her to swiftly step into motherhood by caring for the girls coached by the women’s rugby team.

She expressed, ‘I reached a stage where I found myself yearning to be around kids.’ She continued, ‘It feels like my hands have lost their purpose. I’m not filling water bottles or opening snacks anymore. I guess I’m wondering what the point of it all is.’

Without a doubt, Kylie has no qualms discussing her and Jason’s bustling family home. Notably, the champion for the Eagles Autism Foundation feels she’s not the one to approach for parenting advice when it comes to new mothers.

On her May 29th ‘Not Gonna Lie’ podcast episode, she remarked, ‘I’m still researching things, as if there’s ever an end to that.’ It’s much like when people ask me for parental advice since I have four children. The truth is, I’m still figuring it out just like everyone else.

Kylie and Jason have suggested they’re ending their gathering with six guests, so Kylie is enjoying every moment of her newborn joy and bliss.

Being her fourth baby, she’s making a concerted effort to absorb every moment of her, especially her adorable coos and sounds,” she said.

Back in October 2019, the couple, Jason and Kylie Kelce, were blessed with their first child – a beautiful girl they named Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce.

Their second daughter Elliotte Ray Kelce joined the family two years later.

He went on to express his awe, saying, “It was an unparalleled privilege to lay eyes on it personally. The scale of it is astounding; it seems minuscule when NBA players are handling it, yet it’s truly colossal! The girls showed great curiosity towards it.

In August 2023, a family of five took to the field. On Instagram, Kylie playfully wrote, “We’re here for the Rita’s ice and dad-led obstacle courses following practice.

In October 2023, Jason and Kylie celebrated Wyatt’s fourth birthday at the Philadelphia Eagles’ stadium. As Kylie posted on Instagram, “It was a special occasion as the Eagles were undefeated with a record of 4-0.
