Love Island USA’s Hannah Reveals Islanders Code Word for Talking About Sex

Contestants on the seventh season of “Love Island USA” have not held back when it comes to showing affection, particularly within their communal sleeping quarters.

Hannah Fields shared with Us Weekly in an exclusive chat that they had a special nickname for their intimate moments. Instead of using straightforward terms, they would talk about ‘journeys’. Huda initiated this when she casually mentioned, “I had a journey. My journey was quite extensive.

Fans caught Hannah, 23, on her own “journey” with Pepe Garcia earlier this season.

She confided to Us magazine that it had been approximately 24 hours since she last slept, and three hours had passed since she went to bed in the viral video. In her words, “You almost forget you’re on camera.” She often forgot about being recorded, only realizing when she saw a camera and exclaiming, “Oh dear, I’m being recorded!” She didn’t realize she was being filmed until the following day, thinking, “Let’s not mention it. Nobody will notice or care about what happened.” Later, she found herself in the bathroom wondering, “Did they catch that? … No.” Upon rewatching the episode, she was taken aback, saying, “I couldn’t have been more obvious.

Overall, Hannah said she tried not to think about what America was seeing — or thinking.

She mentioned that everyone has given it some thought. She attempted to push it completely out of her mind when being watched by viewers. “You never know if people are voting based on grudges or genuine admiration,” she explained about the voting process. “When I found myself in the bottom three, I made an effort not to interpret it as ‘America doesn’t like me.’ Every contestant standing there was either an original cast member or Cierra, who was the first bombshell and essentially an OG. I didn’t want to believe that America dislikes me. Nobody wants to think that. However, there were instances where people suggested, ‘Maybe America doesn’t like me.’ When I got paired with Pepe, the other girls would tell me, ‘Well, maybe America saw something you didn’t.’

Throughout her tenure on the program, Hannah developed relationships with both Pepe and Charlie Georgio. Although many viewers rooted for a romance between Hannah and Charlie, she openly expressed having deeper affections towards Pepe.

Hannah shared with Us that after rewatching the show, she’s not surprised by how their relationship appears to be a dream because it truly felt that way for them. She explained, “We genuinely enjoyed ourselves, and at that moment, we had an incredibly strong bond. However, there were definitely ups and downs in our relationship. Some of those tough times might not have been shown as much, which makes sense why people found it so captivating. And the day I had to let Charlie go… Oh, it was one of the toughest days I’ve ever experienced.

Since her exit, Hannah has “had pretty mixed emotions for a while.”

Leaving the villa, she was deeply saddened as she felt she and Pepe shared a profound connection. She’s been trying to keep an open mind about the future, unsure of what lies ahead. There’s a possibility for her to form another bond with Pepe, but she emphasized that it shouldn’t be forced. Moreover, she expressed a desire to nurture a friendship with Charlie, as they seemed to share a special bond and he made her laugh like no one else in her life.

At the moment, Pepe is in a relationship with Grace Blackmore, who strongly resembles Hannah.

Originally, he made it clear I didn’t match his physical preferences. However, on the program, he expressed admiration for my long legs, which happen to be the longest in the world. He also mentioned details like blonde hair, blue eyes, and a small nose. It struck me that this described me perfectly. I can’t help but think it was just a coincidence that we ended up as a pair. I don’t believe he deliberately set out to couple with me.

As a keen observer, I eagerly await the upcoming actions of Pepe, as I can’t wait to catch a glimpse and keep track of his next steps, since so far, there haven’t been too many for me to observe.

New episodes of Love Island USA drop every day — but Wednesday — on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET.
